Dear students,

The Morito Institute of Global Higher Education, Hiroshima University is offering the 2025 Summer Program in Japanese Language and Culture to promote mutual understanding between Taiwan and Japan. The program will be held in person during the summer vacation:

 Program Dates: July 8 (Tue) – July 22 (Tue), 2025

Please refer to the attached brochure (poster) for detailed schedule and program contents.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate students in their second year or above who are interested in Japanese culture.

Must be able to enroll in overseas travel insurance.

Application Materials:

Please submit the following documents via email to japanese@nccu.edu.tw by 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

• (a) Recommendation Form (to be completed by faculty/staff)
• (b) Application Form (Excel file, completed by the applicant)
• (c) Copy of passport (If not available yet, please submit upon issuance)
• (d) Recent ID photo (taken within the last month, JPEG or similar digital file)
• (e) Complete academic transcript (in English or Chinese; full-year transcripts only)

Program Fees:

• Payable to Hiroshima University:
  • (A) Tuition Fee: JPY 93,000
  • (B) Accommodation Fee: approximately JPY 40,000

Note: The program may be cancelled if fewer than 5 students apply.

Additional expenses to be borne by participants:
(1) Round-trip airfare and local transportation in Japan
(2) Meals
(3) Overseas travel insurance
(4) Passport application fees
(5) Personal transportation and souvenir purchases, etc.
