In this lecture, Professor Sekiguchi addressed the theme of "Making Japanese Language Classes Fun and Easy to Understand Through ICT Integration," exploring how Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can enhance engagement and comprehension in language pedagogy. During the session, the speaker demonstrated the practical application of the Wordwall platform, guiding participants through hands-on classroom activities. Through gamified design, conventional and repetitive drills are transformed into learning activities that are both enjoyable and challenging. Furthermore, Wordwall offers the flexibility to adapt to various learning objectives; by synchronously integrating "semantics, text, and audio," it effectively aids learners in memory retention. This lecture beautifully showcased the diverse possibilities of ICT in language acquisition, illustrating how digital tools can cultivate a more dynamic classroom atmosphere while making Japanese learning interactive and accessible.
