This course is a joint initiative among five departments from universities in Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, combining overseas fieldwork in Japan with synchronous online lectures.
In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony, the course explores cultural integration across East Asian countries and provides students with an opportunity for interdisciplinary, cross-cultural learning.
Course Details
Course Format: International Intensive Program
Credits: 2 credits
Main Instruction Language: Chinese (with Japanese and Korean support)
Teaching Style:In-person lectures held in Japan
Possible remote learning depending on circumstances
Intensive Course Period: August 24 (Sun) – August 28 (Thu), 2025
Location: Hiroshima University, Japan
Expenses: Students must cover their own travel and living costs, including airfare, accommodation, and daily expenses.
Important Notes for Course Registration
※ This intensive summer course is part of the Fall Semester 2025 (114-1).
Students who will be participating in exchange programs abroad during the 114-1 semester will not be eligible to earn credits for this course. Please do not register.
※ Once you register via the form below, the department will manually enroll you in the course. There is no need to add the course through the course selection system.
※ Graduate students who decide to withdraw from the course after attending will still be required to pay the credit fee.
※ If the number of applicants exceeds the enrollment limit, a selection process will be conducted.
※ This is a combined undergraduate–graduate level course. Therefore, first- and second-year undergraduate students are not eligible to register.
