Kobe University’s “Summer Japanese Language and Culture Intensive Program” is a 10-day intensive Japanese course specially designed for Japanese language learners from overseas universities that have academic exchange agreements with Kobe University.
The program aims to provide students with an immersive experience of Japanese culture and society through Japanese language learning and interactive communication with Japanese people.
The 2025 program is planned to be held in person, scheduled as follows:

July 1 (Tuesday) – July 16 (Wednesday), 2025

Applicants should have intermediate or above Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 / CEFR B1) or higher.

Payment to Kobe University includes:
(A) Participation Fee: JPY 30,000
(B) Dormitory Fee: approximately JPY 65,000 to 75,000
Round-trip airfare and local transportation in Japan
Meals
Overseas travel insurance
Passport application fees
Personal transportation and souvenir expenses, etc.
